thankful

in such a unique season, i need to write and remind myself that i am blessed beyond measure.  such as clean water, access to healthcare, a roof over my head, and food (far too much!!) to fill my belly.  i have a family who, as disfunctional and messy we each are, loves me very much.  i have friends - near and far - who want my best.  and as up-in-the-air as my life seems right now, i know i will never want for anything.  i'm thankful for relationships that come and go and the invaluable lessons that can be gleaned from them.  i'm thankful for the ability to make decisions - both good and bad - and the soundness to know the difference (sometimes).  and i'm thankful for a source of hope that does not cease, whatever the circumstance.  wherever i am and whoever is in my life this time next year will come as a surprise, but i'm thankful for that, too.  the peace in knowing that life continues in its constant flow and the harmony with which it draws us all together.
